TALISMAN: DIGITAL 5th EDITION RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCEMENT

Today, game developer Nomad Games officially announced that their upcoming title Talisman: Digital 5th Edition will be launching on Steam on November 14th 2024. Based on the recently launched 5th Edition of the Talisman board game from Avalon Hill, licensed by Games Workshop, Talisman: Digital 5th Edition will be available on Steam for £24.99/$31.99.

Originally released in 1983 by Games Workshop, Talisman is a fantasy board game where players embark on an epic quest through a land full of dangerous enemies and treacherous challenges. Talisman: Digital 5th Edition is the upcoming digital adaptation of the 5th Edition of the Talisman board game, and is being developed by Nomad Games in collaboration with Games Workshop.

“For the past year, our team here at Nomad Games have been hard at work making Talisman: Digital 5th Edition into the definitive Talisman experience.” said Thomas Young, Marketing Executive of Nomad Games. “We’re excited to start this new chapter of digital Talisman - after supporting the original Talisman: Digital Edition for more than 10 years, we’ve built a strong foundation in Talisman: Digital 5th Edition to build an even better game from.”

In Talisman: Digital 5th Edition, players will be able to experience a fully faithful adaptation of the much-loved board game, featuring all of the rules updates and gameplay changes featured in the 5th Edition. The game will also include new features such as a Deck Editor, allowing players to customise their games more than ever before, and play their creations with their friends online.

Alongside adapting the 5th Edition, Nomad Games are planning on remastering all of the expansions that they originally released for Talisman: Digital Edition, and bring them forward into Talisman: Digital 5th Edition entirely free of charge for owners of that original content, starting with The Reaper Expansion.

Talisman: Digital 5th Edition will be released onto Steam on November 14th, 2024, with other platforms to follow. Players can wishlist the game now on Steam to stay up to date with the latest news. It will be available to purchase for £24.99/$31.99 or the regional equivalent.

Talisman: Digital Edition has now become Talisman: Classic Edition, and can now be downloaded for free from Steam, GOG, the Google Play Store and the App Store.
