12 October 2011, Singapore and Malaysia – Asiasoft Online ("Asiasoft") today announces the upcoming launch of Alliance of Valiant Arms SEA (AVASEA), the latest free-to-play Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter (MMOFPS) in 2011, brought to you by PlayFPS.
Housed on PlayFPS (www.PlayFPS.com), centre of the FPS community in Southeast Asia, Alliance of Valiant Arms SEA (AVASEA) immerses players in the middle of the modern-day fictional war between the European Union (EU), led by France and Britain with support from the US, and the Neo-Russian Federation (NRF). Players are tasked with picking a side and squaring off in a realistic gritty battle set amongst an urban landscape of skyscrapers and city blocks. With the heart-pumping fragging action afforded by the Unreal Engine 3, expect to see clashes between top shooters from the region around every corner in Alliance of Valiant Arms SEA (AVASEA).
Held at Colosseum, Singapore’s largest LAN gaming centre last Friday, 30th September 2011, members of the media from both Malaysia and Singapore were invited to have an exclusive first look at the latest, and certainly one of the best regional FPS game titles to be launched in recent years.
At the event, members of the media were first treated to a visually stunning trailer and presentation that highlighted the game’s unique features including the graphically impressive and fluid game play, three unique playable classes, amazing customization options for weapons and gears, well designed user interface and maps, and neat achievement system.
Also unveiled at the event, is the plethora of activities and tournaments following the Closed Beta Test (CBT) beginning on 21st October 2011 and official launch of Alliance of Valiant Arms SEA (AVASEA) on 11th November 2011.
With the setup of the PlayFPS Gaming League that includes an all new regional E-Sports platform on PlayFPS, Asiasoft hopes to raise the level of E-Sports competition in this region. With PlayFPS’s support, the PlayFPS Gaming League will incorporate all FPS gamers from six countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam to form the largest online gaming community for both casual and competitive players.
Apart from appealing to competitive players, casual shooters will also relish the opportunity to take up arms in Alliance of Valiant Arms as it offers optimized graphics that allow the typical desktop systems found in most households to run the game without any trouble.
“We are delighted to introduce Alliance of Valiant Arms SEA (AVASEA) as the latest game title from Asiasoft’s stable of games," said Sherman Tan, Chairman of Asiasoft Online. "Supported by PlayFPS, the community portal for FPS players in this region, we are hopeful that AVASEA will prove to be a huge success."
