The acclaimed Chinese visual novel, The Hungry Lamb, adds the Japanese voice acting package for free

2P Games announces that the indie visual novel developed by ZeroCration Games, The Hungry Lamb,  has added a big upgrade on Steam to include full Japanese voice acting. The voice-over cast features Kugimiya Rie as the main character, Sui. The voice-over update will be free for those who already own the game and will come with no extra cost for the ones purchasing it now. The Hungry Lamb is available on Steam for €9.79 with a 25% discount until October 28th at 7 am (CET).

  The Hungry Lamb is a dark-themed, heart-breaking visual novel set in the Late Ming Dynasty when famine and poverty devastated the country. Players will be forced to make unpleasant choices and learn that not everyone can be trusted in this story.


ABOUT THE GAME

Trek across ancient China in a dark, boundary-pushing visual novel inspired by traditional Chinese art with modern animation. Escort four girls to the prosperous city of Luoyang in a branching narrative with themes of revenge, cannibalism, involuntary servitude, and more on a redemptive journey.


The player will play as Liang the bandit, who’s been commissioned for a job from an unsavoury merchant and must escort four girls to a wealthy lord in the city of Luoyang. Liang accepts the job thinking that the girls will be sold to a wealthy Lord and adopted as daughters to begin a new life. On their journey to Luoyang, one of the girls, Sui, reveals an awful well-kept secret; the Lord is a swine demon who devours young women.

Kugimiya Rie as Sui
Sui is a nine-year-old girl born in Luoyang. She voluntarily offers herself to be sold to the swine demon, the awful monster that once killed her sister, with the only intention of avenging her. She’s sneaky and of untrustworthy nature.

Kazuma Horie as Tongue
Tongue is Liang’s partner, the silver-tongued devil motivated only by greed. When they work together, Liang is the executor while Tongue works on securing loot.

Miyamoto Katsuya as The Swine Demon
The swine demon is disguised as a wealthy lord who devours young girls on his birthday for thousands of years, according to Sui. He is also the one who has commissioned Liang to escort the four girls to the city of Luoyang.
