Pacific Audio Visual Institute (www.pacificav.com) and the Gekido Design Group (www.gekidodesigns.com) have partnered to create Pacific Game Design, a complete educational program for making a computer or video game. Located at Pacific Audio Visual Institute's world-class facilities in Vancouver, BC, this program provides students with comprehensive training in the art and design tools of the game industry. Using the open-source Reality Factory Game Creation Suite, students complete fully featured games and machinima.

Pacific Game Design students graduate with a professional portfolio featuring real examples of their work in action, including a completed design document, project proposal and pitch, game prototypes, Machinima movie shorts and a valuable network of contacts in the industry. Students work individually and in teams learning both the technical & creative and the project planning & management skills required to produce a modern computer game from start to finish. The program also covers subjects about game development for PC, MAC, LINUX and consoles. Students learn the development fundamentals for these systems as well as an introduction to mobile and flash gaming.

If you are considering a career in the game industry or dream of starting your own game company, enhancing and expanding your artistic skills, with real-world project and business experience, Pacific Game Design is for you.
