WHAT: Deep within the underworld of Sleepywood, a secret of ancient times lay hidden. Many have known about the battle that sealed up the Black Mage, but not many are aware of the story about the World Tree, the source of life in the Maple World.
Black Mage had plotted to seize the power of the World Tree and almost succeeded. The World Tree retreated to the Root Abyss, a sanctuary hidden beneath Sleepywood, to recover after being weakened by Black Mage. Now, rumours of a trapped girl called Alice are swirling furiously, prompting the Knights of Cygnus to investigate.
Players venturing into Root Abyss dungeon will have to be Level 100 and be in a party consisting of at least two members. They will have to be prepared to face four different bosses as they wander deeper in on their mission to save Alice.
Other than the launch of a new dungeon, players will also be able to own powerful weapons known as Soul Weapons. This is an enhancement feature where they can attach a "Boss Soul" to their weapons, and will be able to summon bosses to help them after charging up a summon bar. Most of the summoned bosses will attack once, with some exceptions. The type of boss summons will also depend on the soul that has been imbued into the weapon.
