[2024-11-08] A South Korean video game publisher Thumbage Co., Ltd. has announced that it has started pre-registration for ‘Boxing Star – PvP Match 3’, the sequel to ‘Boxing Star’ developed by its subsidiary Champion Studio.
Available for pre-registration on both Google Play and the Apple App Store, ‘Boxing Star – PvP Match 3’ builds on the established IP, uniquely blending boxing action with match-3 puzzle mechanics.
Launched in 2018, the original ‘Boxing Star’ achieved over 60 million cumulative downloads and generated more than 100 billion KRW in global revenue, establishing itself as ThumbAge’s flagship mobile sports game.
Producer Yong-Hoe Ko, head of development for ‘Boxing Star – PvP Match 3,’ commented, “We’ve designed this game to deliver the thrill of boxing in an accessible puzzle format, so players can enjoy it casually. We hope players will find it fun and engaging.” He added, “ThumbAge and Champion Studio are planning to explore different genres with the ‘Boxing Star’ IP, and ‘Boxing Star – PvP Match 3’ is the first game in that vision.”
