An art book based on the lore and visual storytelling from the upcoming game title "C.L.A.Y. - The Last Redemption"
Step into the world of C.L.A.Y, set several generations after the collapse of civilization. The survivors of the apocalypse live in tribal societies and tell stories of the day the cities came alive and devoured all who lived in them.
C.L.A.Y. is brought to life by the work of Natasha Skult, a multidisciplinary artist in Finland, with a lot of experience in the gaming industry. Her work combines almost photographic attention to detail when it comes to portraiture with an expressive and painterly style that transports the viewer to a world that at once feels believable and fantastical.
Thanks to her unique vision, C.L.A.Y. feels unique and fresh, while still maintaining the grittiness and somber moods that befits the genre. From futuristic cityscapes to lush forests reclaiming lost architecture, her landscapes evoke the spirit of these places while still leaving enough to the imagination to work for a roleplaying game.
When she is not working, she is an active Chairperson of IGDA.org
Petter Skult has been working as a game designer and narrative designer with game studios all over the world. He has a Ph.D. in English literature on post-apocalyptic literature and post-modernism from Åbo Akademi University (Turku, Finland).
