Today, Traffic announced that it has formed a strategic partnership with CDD to develop a digital gaming offering for CDD's existing clients and new business prospects.
CDD are one of Europe's leading advertising agencies, best known for their work with Mercedes and Guinness; including the 'Horses and Surfers' campaign, recently voted the world's best ever TV commercial by Channel 4 viewers.
The relationship - the first of its kind in the UK - represents a significant step in the merging of leading creative talent from the Advertising and Videogames industries.
The deal is the culmination of several months planning and following the release of the controversial 'JFK Reloaded' Docugame and their involvement with the WRC franchise, provides further evidence that Traffic is broadening its offering outside of conventional videogames, to become a holistic ideas agency capable of delivering creative solutions in any communications channel.
Traffic will be setting up a London base within CDD's offices and the companies will start working together almost immediately.
Kirk Ewing, the MD of Traffic had this to say "With the sheer proliferation of interactive platforms in the marketplace and key audiences moving away from more traditional media, we know that there will be more and more opportunities in the future to develop interactive products with brand owners involved right from the conception. We were looking for a best in breed ideas agency, and we found it in CDD".
