This spooky season, it’s time to delve deeper into the Mythic North – and beyond. Investigate a lurking evil threatening to throw the capital into chaos in City of My Nightmares and venture into Mythic Carpathia to face Vampires, Rusalkas, Baba Yaga, and other even stranger horrors of Eastern European folklore. Two beautifully illustrated and finely crafted expansions await players, along with a new Starter Set for the game and an updated Core Rulebook.

In dark forests, beyond the mountains, by black lakes in hidden groves. At your doorstep. In the shadows, something stirs. Strange beings. Twisted creatures, lurking at the edge of vision. Watching. Waiting. Unseen by most, but not by you. You see them for what they really are. Vaesen.

Since its release in 2020, Vaesen – Nordic Horror Roleplaying, based on the acclaimed art book by Johan Egerkrans and written by Nils Hintze and Free League, has become a fan-favorite across the globe and won multiple awards, including three ENNIEs.

“The perfect roleplaying companion for the spooky season.” – OnTableTop

“Vaesen is a deliciously dark take on the horror mystery genre.” – Tabletop Gaming Magazine

“I was not too surprised when Vaesen turned out to be good. I just did not expect it to be this good.” – Save or Quit

To celebrate the upcoming Kickstarter campaign, the Vaesen Core Rulebook is now 50% OFF in the Free League webshop.
