Japan – October 23, 2024 - INTENSE Co., Ltd. has officially announced UNDERWARD, a co-op exploration horror game where players recover «TEST-SUBJECTS» from a procedurally generated underground abandoned hospital. A Steam store page for the game is now live.
 
The release is scheduled for 2024, with a planned price of $7.99.
 
Game Overview
UNDERWARD is a cooperative exploration horror game for 1 to 4 players. Taking on the role of investigators, players must follow orders to locate a variety of «TEST-SUBJECTS» (in culture capsules), transport them to the elevator, and meet their recovery quota to advance to the next level. The game features a permadeath system.
 
The game also includes a «Connected Carry» System that allows players to work together to transport «TEST-SUBJECTS» at high speeds. With a strong emphasis on cooperative gameplay, UNDERWARD is recommended for players who want to experience the thrill of a horror game while panicking together as a team.
 
A Variety of «TEST-SUBJECTS»:
There are many types of «TEST-SUBJECTS» to recover, and collecting the more unique and valuable ones will earn you higher scores.
 
Wandering Nurses, Traps, and Other Dangers: 
As you explore each floor, you will encounter various hazards. Use the items you find to rescue your teammates and overcome these challenges together.
 
«Connected Carry» System:
Up to four players can work together to carry «TEST-SUBJECTS». By using the «Connected Carry» System, you can outrun enemies even while transporting heavy «TEST-SUBJECTS». However, a failure to coordinate may result in a one-way ticket to the afterlife.
