SANTA CLARA, Calif., (September 29, 2005) - Leading video games developer and publisher Namco Hometek Inc. today announced that a "We Love KatamariTM" desktop buddy program is available for download from the game's official web site, katamari.namco.com. A small file that visitors can download for free from the site, the desktop buddy will roll around the user's monitor as the Prince or one of his many cousins, providing the latest game news and updates for additional buddy accessories. Site members will be given access to special presents provided by the King of All Cosmos, allowing them to roll in style, while their buddy announces the latest news, contests and updates at the official "We Love Katamari" site. Players can also visit the site to submit fan art that will be commented on by the King.

The sequel to the critically acclaimed "Katamari DamacyTM," "We Love Katamari" continues the series' trademark rolling action with original levels and objectives, an innovative cooperative mode for two players and an entirely new soundtrack of original songs. Players will roll as the Prince or one of his cousins through new levels such as a campground with a burning Katamari, a dark field with fireflies that the Prince must roll up to bring light to a studious nature lover and even the bottom of a lake filled with fish, shells and the hooks of hopeful fisherman. For the first time in the series, players can roll with a friend in the game's cooperative mode, each controlling one side of the Katamari and using teamwork to achieve objectives and appease the mercurial King of the Cosmos. "We Love Katamari" is now available in stores everywhere for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system and carries an MSRP of $29.99.
