Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem will receive its first free downloadable update on Steam this week. This first update, called Chronicle I: Bloodtrail, will be the first of a series of regular updates for their Action RPG!
As Wolcen launched on the 13th of February 2020, more than a million players stormed the gates of Fury in the three Chapters propelling the rich story proposed by the game. Wolcen allows for a Classless progression powered by a rotating Passive Skill Tree, a plethora of different gears & gems and dozens of Skills all customizable through passives and actives.
Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem peaked at 127,542 concurrent players on Steam at launch, and reached Top 3 games played on Twitch earlier this year. With 1M+ units sold in 3 weeks after launch and a global top seller on Steam, the team at Wolcen Studios worked very hard to bring 17 updates to the game, in order to fix as many issues as possible.
With "Chronicle I”, Wolcen Studio team has expanded from 30 to 60 developers, marking a new dawn for Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem, with the improvement & addition of content, features and a narrative storyline along with even more balancing and enhancements.
Upcoming content featured in Chronicle I:
Bloodtrail - A new game mode allowing you to play a new character in a completely fresh economy, and enabling the access to specific events during the campaign and in the endgame. Let the hunt begin! Follow the trails and track your prey to discover its nature. Whether it is a Human, a Beast, or Occult Forces: your objective will be to examine the tracks and take on these new challenges by making decisions that will allow you to customize the final encounter with your Prey, and get even more interesting rewards!
A New Friend - You are not alone in your endeavor, as a faithful companion pet will follow & support you during your epic journey! Did we mention there are many different companions to discover and love?
New Endgame Story with Events, Rewards and Boss - New fully voiced events, great rewards, a unique armor model, adorable baby dragon pets and a fearless boss are awaiting for you. We dare you. Investigate with a new character, Ilthain from the Order of Oshara to get on with it!
New Endgame Buildings & Missions - Discover Oshara’s Council for Bloodtrail Narrative Missions, the Mirrormaid Ship for Cosmetic Armors, and new missions in the Diamond Bank for Merchants Restock.
Kickstarter Rewards - We didn’t forget about our Kickstarter backers and their support should be rewarded. Thank you so much for sticking with us for so long! Backer pets and armors will be ready for you to collect! These Kickstarter armors and pets are Steam inventory items that you will be able to trade with other players.
And more - Enhancements brought to Localization, new uniques, improved gameplay with an overhaul of values & balancing, Active Skill Modifiers and Gate of Fates improvement, more meaningful player choices. New monsters (and new monsters skills), a new player skill, revisited character sheet, many weapons have been improved, new environments, enhanced crafting, reworked skills animations, better VFX, more information to the User Interface, Gate of Fates search bar... Wolcen Studio’s teams have worked very hard for months since the release of the game in February, to bring 17 updates in order to fix bugs, balancing issues and improve performance & servers.
This first "Chronicle” marks a new dawn for Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem, with the improvement and addition of many gameplay content, features and a narrative storyline.
Wolcen Studio will continue to develop and bring even more free updates in the future.
