Independent developer Curve Studios has integrated Hansoft management tools into its production process, Hansoft has announced. Founded in London in 2005, Curve Studios is responsible for multiple Buzz! titles published by Sony, and is currently developing the sidescrolling action game Explodemon! for PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and PC. Said Curve Studios' head of production Graeme Puttock, "Hansoft is a great asset to Curve Studios, helping us keep our commitment of constantly delivering high quality titles. We've found it a powerful tool that facilitates both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and use it across multiple projects. "Hansoft's ease of use allows for rapid planning, and really helps to empower the team by giving them a constantly updated list of what their tasks are on different levels of granularity, as well as keeping them in touch with the projects' bigger picture." Hansoft's tools handle various types of scheduling, as well as resource and document management, bug tracking, and other production tasks. Patric Palm, Hansoft's CEO, said the company saw a need for tools that addressed overallocation and mismanagement of resources. "Overallocation used to be a typical problem when working over multiple projects. The difficulties to coordinate teams and maximize resources we saw among our customers, inspired us to develop a powerful resource management tool," he said. "Curve is an exciting studio and I'm really curious to see what they'll come up with in the future."
