Technical Producer, Battlecry Studios

Location: Austin, TX Battlecry Studios is seeking an experienced Technical Producer to help drive and coordinate development of game server, platform, and back-end technologies for our game, Battlecry. This position will work closely with the Director of Production to manage internal and external development and planning, as well as coordinating with content, live services, and publisher stakeholders. Key Responsibilities - Works with the Director of Production, Technical Director, and technical leads to formulate, drive, and maintain the development schedule. - Seeks out dependencies, issues, and potential development roadblocks and works to find and execute solutions. - Supports the Director of Production in a variety of development & tech-related tasks. - Establishes and drives processes and solutions to improve efficiency and communication within the technical group (and with the studio as a whole.) - Works with the Director of Production to establish and communicate goals, plans, milestone schedules and studio objectives. - Coordinates, facilitates, tracks, and reports on external game-related development from publisher provided resources and external vendors. - Works well with other engineers, artists, and designers. Required Skills - 5+ years of production experience. - 3+ years of technical-related project management experience. - 3+ years professional game development experience. - Experience building, maintaining, and tracking schedules and plans. - Experience with Agile and SCRUM project management methodology. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Practical knowledge in platform, programming, and cloud-based technologies. - Have an excellent bullshit detector. Recommended Skills - Experience with Hansoft. - Experience with C++ or another programming language. - Experience with Lua or other scripting languages. - Experience with & knowledge of Free-To-Play games. - Extensive knowledge of service-based games. - University degree or graduate of a recognized post-secondary program in project management. - BA or BS in Computer Science preferred.
