First Blog 2

I figured since I visit this site religously trying to find an entry job into video game programming I might as well post progress or anything else of value.  

 To give anyone that reads this a small background about myself.  I am a 26 years old,happily married, video game fanatic, programmer in Louisiana. I currently do C++ work for a company in North Louisiana and have been working for the company for a little over two years and I think I have honed my skills nicely since I been there.

 Now to the actually programming aspect of this blog.  I have had the pleasure of starting my first full fledge video game for the Iphone, not the small 2d tank/gorilla games I have played with throughout my books I have read, I mean music/AI/Level Design/Multiplayer aspects, the full experience.  Currently its all solo but thinking about pulling in a friend of mine which I am currently working with on another IPhone project.  For anyone that is thinking of starting to develope for the Iphone I highly suggest it.  Getting started in Iphone development is a lot easier then I thought it would be, from getting the mac, setting up the build evniroment, and getting the lisence all came without problems.  

I had the chance to play with a friends iphone when it first came out and just like when I first saw the Wii remote at E3 I instantly thought of a slew of games that would best for its input.  The decision on what game to develope first was hard, I mean you can not let your coming out game to not be amazing and awesome.  I have hunkered down, designed pretty much every aspect of the game so far, and began my favorite part; programming. At the speed I am able to work on it between work/wife/gaming I am hoping for a release in a few months.  

 Well thats it for this blog, I will keep posting my day to day progress through this blog.  Feel free to email me any comments, questions, suggesitions.  I doubt anyone will read this but hey there is always hope :P.
