Location: Seattle, WA Amazon Game Studios is hiring! Make games at one of the most innovative companies in tech! We are currently hard at work on an project that will provide the right candidates with the potential to work on game experiences that push the boundaries of technology. Our team includes industry veterans of dozens of titles including Thief, System Shock 2, Half Life 2, Left for Dead, Age of Empires, Halo, Gears of War, Forza, Call of Duty and Bioshock, with a pinch of Amazon peculiarity thrown in. You are a veteran Software Development Engineer with broad game development experience and world-class software engineering skills. You enjoy iterating with artists and game designers to break down technology barriers and deliver experiences that delight customers. You’re a natural problem solver with a passion for gaming, and you want to build games for gamers that you would want to play. You lead by example, and make everyone around you better. The Role:

  • Lead a team of engineers responsible for the development of a mobile game title.

  • Hire world-class game developers, and retain them.

  • Coach your team members, and grow their capabilities over time.

  • Develop project plans and commitments for yourself and your team, then deliver consistently against those commitments.

  • Drive the architecture and technology choices that enable a world-class user experience.

  • As an individual contributor, design, develop and deploy significant new game features.

  • Be a champion for the user: Insist on the highest standards, and create functional and engaging features that delight customers.
