Mobile game maker Kabam is looking to hire an experienced rendering engineer to take a senior role among the team making mobile games at Kabam's San Franciso, CA headquarters.

Location: San Francisco, CA
You will work in Kabam’s cohesive studio format that puts you in close contact with other software engineers, art, sound, and product teams. Engineers sit in an open office format that encourages conversation and teamwork while developing. You will participate in regular meetings that provide updates on progress and define new priorities.
Day to day:
Design, implement and maintain all rendering code/shaders for a mobile game project.
Integrate rendering features to/from central rendering technology.
General game development programming, including UI and debugging.
Work closely with Art Director/Tech Director and provide guidance for art production.
Participate in development scheduling and hit deadlines for assigned tasks.
Implement robust, flexible, and well-architected systems with a focus on art and design tools pipeline.
Career Progression:
This role is a senior-level position. The right candidate who continues learning, contributing, and innovating would find a great career path into a Lead Engineer role with much more control/ownership over the code and the ability to work on various projects.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
Years Experience:
Minimum 5+ years in the games industry
MUST Have Qualifications:
Deep understanding of rendering pipelines and techniques.
Must be able to write shaders using CG
Strong math background
Strong understanding of C#
Unity 3D experience a huge plus
C++/Objective-C knowledge a plus
Shipped at least 1 mobile/console game as a rendering programmer.
Able to work effectively in a highly collaborative and team-oriented environment
Able to clearly and openly communicate with technical and non-technical audience
A genuine passion for video games
