Herzing University announced that it plans to introduce its Bachelor of Science in Game Development degree program to its campuses in Brookfield and Kenosha, Wisconsin, starting next year. Herzing's Game Development program, first available at Herzing University's campus in Madison in 2006, prepares students for careers in multiplatform game development and in the creation of serious game applications. Campus representatives note that Herzing program students have previously been honored for their development skills at events like UW-Whitewater's annual PlayExpo, in which Herzing participants won Best of Show awards in the Games for Fun and Serious Games categories. "We believe the Game Development program will be very popular with students who have both strong artistic and computer skills, as well as a love of computer games," said Brian Olson, Vice President of New Operations and Acting Campus President for Herzing University - Brookfield. "This is a very contemporary program that blends online technology with graphic design to produce entertainment and business tools that are engaging and interactive." The first semester of Herzing's Bachelor of Science in Game Development program will begin at the Brookfield and Kenosha campuses in September 2011. Applications for the upcoming semester are now available at Herzing's Madison campus.
