Trying a slightly different take on time play then Braid

I've only just begun this project, most of my time has been trying to knock down dependancies that other team members have from me before our game's first milestone due to the school's faculty by monday.

What I have begun to piece together is a system that is going to allow two players to move aobut a 3D environment and then create their own divergent timelines that will overlap at times and be seperate at other times, all the while the two players are trying to play tag (maybe I'll give them guns...haven't decided yet).

I won't have any screen shots until I have a quick and dirty level editor up and running for the project.  That should be done later today.

As for the time travel, my plan is to have players have the ability to traverse time as well as space.  Each player will only have one instance.

For example that player A is at position X at time 1, and player B is at postion Y at time 1.  If Player B moves forward in time then later returns to time 1, she will see player A going about the actions that are buffered into A's timeline, while A will still be operating as normal in B's future.

Don't know if this will work, but I will post again in a day or two with screens of progress.
