Newsbrief: Epic Games has added Perforce's version control and asset management tools into Unreal Development Kit in order to help streamline game development for studios using its framework. Perforce manages digital files with detailed change history tracking, allowing developers to reproduce and trace their assets. The Unreal Editor also has enhanced Perforce integration that automatically adds and removes content as it is edited inside the tools. Epic has made Perforce available to Unreal Development Kit licensees at no charge for up to 20 users and 20 workstations, with no time limits or file quantity restrictions. The July 2012 UDK Beta with Perforce is available now at the company's site.
