Lutz Latta has worked as a software developer in the game industry since 2002. He was lead programmer for the DirectX 9 benchmark AquaMark3 at Massive Development in Mannheim, Germany. Previously he worked there on the action game Aquanox2: Revelation for the PC and game consoles. In 2001, Latta finished his studies at the University of Applied Sciences Wedel, Germany and at the University of the West of England, Bristol. His dissertation about realistic real-time rendering was published in the papers program at Siggraph 2002. He spoke at the Game Developers Conference 2004 about hardware-accelerated particle simulation.
