Prior to entering the game industry, Steve Chen worked as a practicing architect for five years in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. While at Lucas Arts, Chen was a level designer for Jedi Knight, designing three single-player levels and the Canyon Oasis Jedi multiplayer level. Chen also worked as a background 3D artist for Grim Fandango and as lead level designer for Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine, where he oversaw the level design and scripting efforts, as well as completing three of the single-player levels. A long-time gamer, Chen entered the gaming industry after studying architecture and computer graphics at Columbia University. He is currently doing research for an as-yet-unannounced new title.
