RedLynx's Trials Evolution has set a new record for highest grossing day-one sales on Xbox Live Arcade, and has sold more than 100,000 copies in its first day after releasing. Following up 2009's popular Trials HD, this new release sells for 1200 MS Points, or $15 -- meaning the downloadable game has grossed at least $1.5 million in just its first 24 hours. Trials Evolution was published by Microsoft Studios and released as part of Arcade Next, one of several annual Xbox Live Arcade campaigns that feature standout titles. Games featured in these promotions tend to experience more downloads than those released outside of campaigns. Initial demand for the new game was so high, Microsoft was forced to add more servers to accommodate all the users playing the game. "We apologize for the leaderboard issues in the past hours," RedLynx tweeted. "The servers were getting overloaded but Microsoft has put up new hardware." Leaderboards for Trials Evolution's recorded 120,000 users playing the game just a day after its release, and around 180,000 playing in its second day.
