Creative England and Microsoft are linking up once again to launch the latest round of Greenshoots, a funding and support programme that'll invest up to £250,000 ($316,000) in the UK's brightest indie game devs.

The initiative first launched in 2014, and has already supported a number of games including Warhammer 40,000: Freeblade, Crime Coast, and Aaero

Applications are open to all small and medium-sized game companies based in England and operating outside of London. Only those titles in development for Xbox One or Windows 10 will be considered for funding, although exclusivity isn't a requirement.

As well as the financial support mentioned above, successful applicants will gain access to a series of development and business workshops covering key disciplines such as marketing, publishing, and pitching.

Both Creative England and Microsoft will assess the applications in January, and will have the power to award anywhere between £50,000 ($63,200) and £200,000 ($252,850) to each successful party.

Those interested can learn more about the initiative, including how to apply, over on the Greenshoots website.
