[Gamasutra rounds up the week's biggest news for the major console and portable digital delivery services in conjunction with sister site GameSetWatch, this time highlighting news about Bastion and Fruit Ninja Kinect.] This week we have a chat with Jonathan Blow about his experience with Xbox Live Arcade, we look at sales of PlayStation Network titles over the past few months, we talk to Bastion developer Supergiant Games about its ability to make an interesting narrator, and we examine how FortressCraft has lead the way for Xbox Live Indie Games. In-Depth: PlayStation Network Sales Analysis, April - June, 2011 (PSN) Months have passed since we've been able to check back into the PlayStation Network for its Leaderboards, thanks to the whole service being brought down by a hacker intrusion. We're even a bit late now, having delayed this to August. But we're here! Let's see how PlayStation Network has done this last quarter. Interview: Jonathan Blow - Xbox Live Arcade 'A Pain In The Ass' For Indies (XBLA / PSN) Gamasutra speaks to the iconoclastic indie developer about his feelings on digital distribution -- and he has some choice words about Microsoft's service, arguing that competitors like Steam and iOS are simpler for developers to deal with. Interview: Storytelling Through Narration In Bastion (XBLA) In this interview, we hear from Supergiant's Greg Kasavin and Amir Rao about how the narration emerged during the development of Bastion. Critical Reception: Halfbrick's Fruit Ninja Kinect (XBLA) This week's edition of Critical Reception examines online reaction to the iOS-ported fruit-murder sim Fruit Ninja Kinect, which reviewers describe as "unquestionably enjoyable, and easily the best version of Halfbrick's popular title." Minecraft-Inspired Xbox Live Indie FortressCraft Surpasses $1M In Sales (XBLIG) FortressCraft, the Xbox Live Indie Game similar to Mojang's popular PC title Minecraft, has made more than $1 million in sales since its launch in April, breaking the record for highest-grossing XBLIG to date. Doublesix Shows Off Strike Suit Zero Shooter (XBLA / PSN) In addition to working on All Zombies Must Die, indie studio Doublesix is also developing an interesting arcade-style, mecha-filled action game called Strike Suit Zero for PSN, XBLA, and PC. Silver Dollar's Latest: Cat Interference Sim No Luca No (XBLIG) If you've ever tried to have a peaceful meal around a housecat, you already have some idea of what to expect from Silver Dollar Games' latest release for the Xbox Live Indie Games service. No Luca No is, to my knowledge, the world's first and most realistic cat-discouragement simulator. 'PlayStation Play' Program Offering Downloadable Gifts With Select Titles (PSN) Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced "PlayStation Play," a new program that offers downloadable gifts to players that download any or all of four titles to be released later this summer. Bastion OST Releases With Two Bonus Tracks (XBLA) Supergiant Games has put out a digital version of its original soundtrack for Bastion. Yan Marchal This Time Tells Us About The Arkedo Series Being PS3 Bound (PSN) Coming soon to PSN is the Arkedo Series. All three titles, Jump, Swap, and Pixel, were previously available for Xbox Live Arcade's Indie Games section, and will soon be PlayStation Network bound.
