This week's 'Release This!', a column exploring the games hitting retail shelves worldwide across all platforms, takes a look at games released between February 26 and March 4, 2006. It's a big week for Electronic Arts, with three major titles for the Western market: first-person shooter Black and soccer sim FIFA Street 2 on consoles, and RTS The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II on the PC. And in Japan, nostalgia is king, with enhanced remakes of both the original Rockman (Rockman Rockman, pictured) and Valkyrie Profile, both for the PSP, along with Capcom Classics Collection for the PS2, and a new Seiken Densetsu for the Nintendo DS. This list is compiled exclusively for Gamasutra, from a number of online retail outlets and industry resources. You can read the full Gamasutra column, including a more detailed analysis for each individual region (no registration required, feel free to link from external websites).
