Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
When the time of publishing Flappy Bird2 is closer and closer, players have increasingly been expecting that, but it seems that the speculations will never end before the final release.
It can’t be denied that Flappy Bird has made a great success, and different kinds of copies come in a throng after it being widely popular. Flappy Bird is all the rage, and so it is the ‘Flap’ and ‘Bird’ games. $50,000, that’s how much the game earned from advertisements every day, but the developer Dong Nguyen moved it off from the App Store as the pressure gets worse. Even though the Flappy Bird disappeared temporarily, the ‘bird’ could never fly away. By one estimate, 4 similar games like this one occupied the top4 on the App Store after it being moved off, they are Flappy Bird Flyer, Ironpants, Splashy Fish and Flappy Bee.
True, Flappy Bird can be described as an epic game, it seems that people got a “FB” fever, it is the one that people love and hate. More and more knock-offs are now available on the store, and the Flappy Bird fever seems never abated. On current trends, there would be more similar games released even after Flappy Bird2 being published.
There has been much speculation about the upgraded version of Flappy Bird, from the moment it being moved off on February, 9th this year. Till now, there are two games most likely to be the upgraded versions of Flappy Bird—Flying Bird and Flat Birds. Strange to say, however, there appears to be a growing consensus that Flying Bird could possibly be the upgraded one.
It seems that rumors and speculations will never end, but why so many people call Flying Bird the Flappy Bird2, or whether Flying Bird is the upgraded Flappy Bird, it’s hard to verify, only by Mr. Nguyen itself.
