GameFly Rental Chart Highlights: Week Ending February 20

This week's GameFly video game rental charts for North America, specifically relating to games rented via the games-by-mail service for the week ending February 20th, show popularity over multiple game formats. A new Xbox 360 game has taken over not only the Xbox-specific charts below, but also the all-format rental charts for the week. Sega's Full Auto replaces Tecmo's Dead or Alive 4 atop the chart, with the latter fighting game falling out of the overall top 3. #2 is the chart debut of Square Enix's Grandia III for PS2, and third place is another Sega 360 entry, the first-person horror title Condemned: Criminal Origins. Grandia III, as the sole PS2 representative in the all-format top three, is naturally also the #1 game on the PS2-specific chart this week. The game displaces last week's big RPG winer, Tales of Legendia, which has fallen down to sixth on the PS2 charts. Shadow of the Colossus, meanwhile, claws its way back up to #2 after a slip last week, and Resident Evil 4 contents itself with a third-place showing for now. The regular Xbox list remains relatively serene amidst all the commotion, going back to an earlier stable state now that Arena Football is out of the top 3. Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones is again #1 and Half-Life 2 #2, while Activision's Gun is #3 with a bullet. On the Xbox 360, Full Auto again takes the crown at #1, with Condemned: Criminal Origins up at #2 over Dead or Alive 4, sulking down at #3. Chibi-Robo politely takes over for Super Mario Strikers at #1 on the GameCube charts this week, leaving Nintendo's most famous plumber occupying second place with the soccer game and third with Super Mario Party 7. On Nintendo's Game Boy Advance, Yu-Gi-Oh! GX Duel Academy reverses last week's slip to come out on top of Final Fantasy IV, filling the first and second positions on the chart, with the third going to the long-lasting Pokémon Emerald. Capcom remakes are still in the lead on both of the newer handhelds: Resident Evil: Deadly Silence, the Nintendo DS survival horror remake, has a death grip on the #1 spot in the DS charts, with Electroplankton remaining at #2 and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time making a comeback at #3. On Sony's PSP, Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX stands strong at #1 against the former handheld don Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, catching up on lost ground as it rises back to #2. SOCOM: U.S. Navy Seals: Fireteam Bravo pops back up at #3, caught in the crossfire.
