A multitude of new game announcements continue to be made in the days leading up to E3, with Rockstar Games, Majesco and THQ all unveiling hitherto unannounced titles, detailed below. Rockstar’s latest game is entitled Bully and will be released on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. The game, of which no screenshots have yet been released, sounds similar to classic British ‘80s game Back To Skool, in that you take the role of a troublesome schoolboy who must stand up to bullies and malicious teachers, while playing pranks on fellow pupils and wooing a girlfriend. The game is being developed by Rockstar Vancouver, the former Barking Dog Studios, and is expected to be released this October. It will be shown at E3 behind closed doors. Majesco, meanwhile, has announced a new action/horror title named Demonik, which is being co-created by film director John Woo’s Tiger Hill Entertainment. As such, both a game and a feature film are being developed concurrently, with creative input from writer/director Clive Barker. Barker last collaborated on a video game for Electronic Arts’ PC FPS Clive Barker's Undying. Demonik, however, is described as a third person action game franchise for next generation consoles, and is set to launch in 2006. Barker also has an option to write and direct the film; development of the game will be undertaken by BloodRayne creators Terminal Reality. Finally, THQ has announced PC role-playing game Titan Quest, to be developed by Iron Lore Entertainment – a studio led by Age of Empires co-creator Brian Sullivan. Also due for a 2006 release, the game will be show on THQ’s E3 stand, and will be an action role-playing title featuring real world locations such as the Parthenon, the maze of Knossos, the Great Pyramids and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.
