- THQ has announced a sequel to its tactical military game Full Spectrum Warrior, with Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers. The original game was developed in conjunction with the Army, with a differing version used in actual Army training; the sequel will build on that by including a multiplayer mode and new units to use in battle. "We're proud of the technological and design innovation that has fueled the success of the Full Spectrum Warrior brand," said Andrew Goldman, CEO of Pandemic Studios. "Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers will build on that innovation." The game will make its public debut at E3. - Sony Online Entertainment and Stuff Magazine are co-sponsoring a contest to hunt for a lookalike for Antonia Bayle, main heroine of EverQuest II. The contest, which begins May 17th, invites women to submit photos of themselves through the the contest website by July 12, 2005. The contestants, who must be over 21 years of age, will be selected through an online ballot to become semi-finalists. The eventual winner will receive an offer of a one-year modeling contract with SOE, a photo spread in Stuff, as well as other unnamed prizes. - Remedy, the developers of Max Payne and its sequel, has announced its next project: Alan Wake, described by the studio as a "psychological action thriller." No other details on the project were announced, except for some screenshots and a teaser trailer taken from the current PC build of the game; the official website for the game says that it will be for "next generation consoles", but no specific systems or publishers have yet been named - more will likely emerge at the upcoming E3 Expo. - Also updated today: product news involving the release of the latest AI.implant software, as well as newly updated jobs from companies including Disney Buena Vista Games, Gizmondo Studios, Linden Lab, Rockstar North, and There, Inc.
