- Cyberlore Studios, developer of Playboy: The Mansion, has announced that Seth Spaulding will be stepping up as the company's new President. Formerly the Vice President of Cyberlore, where he spent ten years of his career, Spaulding will replace outgoing President Joe Minton as Minton assumes the role of Vice President of Business Management. "This change will allow me to focus on the company's growth as we continue to develop cutting edge social and economic sim games while Joe focuses on acquiring new business," said Spaulding. - Twin Galaxies and Classic Gaming Expo UK will be co-hosting the Classic Video Game Champions of Europe challenge at this year's CGEUK (to be held Saturday August 13th at the Fairfield Halls in Croydon, England), in which American, Canadian, and European classic-gaming titans face off to see who's truly the best in the world. The competition will last from 10 in the morning to 6 in the evening, and will feature a panel discussion featuring some of the champions along the way. Refereeing the event will be Walter Day from Twin Galaxies, who says that despite the name, "It's an open event and the top Canadian and US players are crashing the party, coming to prove that European players can't match North American talent and that Gary Whelan's recent accomplishment on Galaxian [399,290 points] was a one-time fluke." - Also updated today: newly posted jobs from companies including Activision Value, Electronic Arts Tiburon, Obsidian Entertainment, Pandemic Studios, Snowblind Studios, Ubisoft Shanghai Studio, and Vivendi Universal Games.
