Ruffian's Crackdown 2 Tops UK Charts

Ruffian Games/Microsoft Game Studios' open world shooter Crackdown 2 debuted at the top of UK sales charts this week, overtaking Traveler's Tales' Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption.

Ruffian Games and Microsoft Game Studios' open world shooter Crackdown 2 debuted at the top of the UK sales charts this week, becoming the company’s first game to hit the top of the charts in 2010. For the week ending July 10, tracking firm Chart Track’s data revealed Traveler’s Tales’ Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption in the top three for the all-platforms list, which includes unit sales of all versions of a given title. Ubisoft’s Dance on Broadway jumped to number four, and THQ’s UFC 2010: Undisputed once again entered the top 10. Titles such as Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11, however, declined in sales compared to the previous week. 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 remained at numbers five and eight, respectively, with sales remaining relatively unchanged from last week. UFC 2010 Undisputed (THQ) UK Individual Platforms Top 10 On the individual platforms list, which compares games by the sales of individual versions of a given title, Crackdown 2 topped the list, followed by Dance on Broadway and Super Mario Galaxy 2, both long-standing titles in the top 10. Both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa returned to the top 10, while Lego Harry Potter: Year 1-4, which held four of the top 10 slots last week, saw its PS3 and DS versions fall off the list. 1.
