SpeedTree RT, developers of foliage middleware for videogames, has announced 7 new licensees for its product. The new partners are: Webzen, a Korean-based online game developmer and distributor; Mythic Entertainment, developers of the MMORPG Imperator; B-Alive, creators of Wildlife Park 2; Perfect World Co. Ltd., a developer of online games; Phenomic Game Development, developers of the SpellForce series; Cyanide Studio, creators of Pro Cycling Manager; and Gravity Corp., developers of Requiem. The SpeedTree product line enables both real-time developers and off-line animators to incorporate animated 3D foliage into their scenes. The company's trees are designed to use a fraction of the polygons of many 3D tree solutions, enabling the creation of vast, detailed forests.
