Nintendo has announced the addition of three new classic games to the Wii Shop Channel offerings, all of them in keeping with a Halloween theme, available as of 9:00 AM PST on October 29th. The new games include NES title Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, which casts players as whip-wielding Simon Belmont, up against Dracula once again on a quest to find the Count's hidden body parts to break an evil curse, and priced at 500 points ($5). Second is Samurai Ghost, originally released on the Turbo Grafx 16, which features a samurai ghost attempting to prevent the rebirth of an evil shogun. Players use spirit weapons against demons and samurai from 12th-century Japan, and the title goes for 600 points ($6). Finally, Neo Geo title Magician Lord also arrives on the Wii Shop channel, a side-scrolling action-fantasy platformer featuring a shape-shifting magician who can take the form of a water man, dragon warrior or shinobi, to name a few. Magician Lord costs 900 Wii Points, or $9. The Wii Shop offering of downloadable content updates weekly, and users can redeem Wii Points to download the games. The points can be purchased over the Wii Shop channel or at retail outlets.
