LONDON, UK – November 14, 2023 – Grab your mining picks and get set for an enchanting underground adventure in Core Keeper, a 1-8 player mining sandbox game, coming to the Nintendo Switch™ system, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, the PlayStation®5 (PS5) system and the PlayStation®4 system in summer 2024.
The console versions will release simultaneously with Core Keeper's 1.0 update on PC, following a successful Steam Early Access period which has now seen 2 million units sold.
Winner of ‘Best Social Game 2022’ at the TIGA Games Industry Awards and nominated for ‘Best Early Access Launch’ at the Golden Joystick Awards 2022, Core Keeper is a mining sandbox adventure set in an ancient cavern of creatures, treasures and trinkets. Mine relics and resources to build your base, upgrade your tools and craft powerful equipment to defeat epic bosses. Farm crops, go fishing, cook new recipes, forage for items, battle monsters and explore diverse biomes alone or with friends in a vast, procedurally-generated underground world.
The console versions of Core Keeper will include all existing content introduced throughout the PC Early Access period, plus content included in the upcoming 1.0 update. Set sail for adventure across the waves of The Sunken Sea, hop into high-speed karts and drift across desert sands, and defeat legendary Titans solo or in up to 8-player online co-op in this award-winning adventure.
A physical edition will also be available day one on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X and Xbox One, with pre-orders available soon.
“We are so excited to bring the world of Core Keeper to even more players with the console versions next summer, directly alongside the 1.0 update on PC,” said Vincent Coates, Senior Brand Manager at Fireshine Games. “With 2 million copies sold in Early Access, Core Keeper has proven to be a hit with the gaming community, and we can’t wait for more players to discover this captivating adventure next year.”
Core Keeper is available now on Steam Early Access. To keep up with the latest info & updates, follow @CoreKeeperGame and join the discussion on Discord.
