FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LONDON – Nov. 14, 2023 – Not For Broadcast, the chaotic television news propaganda sim from developer NotGames and publisher tinyBuild switches the channel to host a special episode of the popular chat show, “Bits of Your Life” with the launch of the latest DLC on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

The premise of the show should be simple. The host has years of experience, the guest is Peter Clement, the leader of Advance and the potential future Prime Minister. All you need to do is bring out guests from Clement’s inner circle to dive deeper into his celebrity past and glimpse into his political future.

But here’s the thing about “simple”: it doesn’t make good television. It’s time to head back to the editing chair and start working your magic. Someone at the station has given you the power to decide which guests come out in which order, and as the saying goes - with great power comes great opportunity (for chaos!). And of course, you’ll also be picking the camera angles, choosing the ads and censoring any words too juicy for early evening TV.

“Bits of Your Life” is the most responsive chapter of Not For Broadcast ever released, with different guest order combinations resulting in a huge variety of changes to the story, multiple endings and plenty of easter eggs and secrets to discover.

“There’s nothing quite as cathartic and embarrassing as a politician on live television,” said Jay Orbaum, Director at NotGames. “Except maybe the feeling you’ll get buying this DLC, though no guarantees on that.”

Not For Broadcast’s “Bits of Your Life” DLC is available now on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam for $8.99 USD,  available discounted as part of the Not For Broadcast Season Pass for $24.99 USD or the Deluxe Edition, which includes the base game, The game supports English, French, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Spanish, Russian, and Simplified Chinese languages.

Game Features

  • Keep ratings high by picking the best angles, censoring the worst swear words and playing VT.

  • Bring out the guests in any order you want, derailing the show and upsetting just about everyone.

  • Track different combinations of guests and discover new combinations using your in-game notepad.

  • Hours of footage, branching paths and ten distinct endings designed to be played through multiple times.

  • Uncover the truth about Peter Clement, or at least make him look very stupid. Don’t feel bad - he’s a politician!

About NotGames

NotGames is a British game studio that opened its doors in 2013 to attempt to save the charity that brought us all together. Coming from a bizarre background of film, TV, theatre, and comedy, NotGames aren't your usual game developers. If you're asking, we'd like to call ourselves 'multi-talented all-rounders', while our former employers would probably say we're 'unfocussed and easily distracted'.

Exhausted after the runaway success of the cult-classic NotTheNameWeWanted and the subsequent stillbirth of NotCoD (we don't like to talk about it), we took some time out to contemplate our navels in a dark room.

In 2017, we decided to get the band back together, with NotGames 2.0 combining satire, social commentary and original gameplay into the dystopian wonderland of Not For Broadcast.
