Joytech | Windsor, England - May 9th 2005: JOYTECH Europe Ltd, a division of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO) and leading designer and manufacturer of third party video game peripherals, today announced the launch of the 8inch Digital LCD Monitor designed exclusively for use with the newly redesigned PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system.
Technology takes center stage with the new 8inch Digital LCD Monitor featuring a crystal clear screen with a wide 160 viewing angle, ideal for both video games and DVD's. JOYTECH's unique OSD (On Screen Display) allows the user to easily access the monitor's multiple menus and system settings for easy adjustments. These features make the monitor ideal for use with a broad range of high definition analog and digital AV (Audio/Visual) sources. The built-in Stereo Speakers with SRS® 3D Surround Sound ensure that the entertainment sounds as good as it looks.
Included with the monitor are two accessories designed to enhance the flexibility of the product. The In-Car Power Adapter connects to any standard 12-volt car power source, offering a simple power-to-go solution; it powers both the monitor and console. The Remote Control unit also operates the console and monitor, a key feature when viewing DVD's.
JOYTECH will also offer a Travel Carry Case, a TV Tuner and Multi AV Adapter, sold separately. The TV Tuner allows users to enjoy local TV broadcasts through the monitor's display, while the Multi AV Adapter provides direct input connections for any standard S-Video, Component Video, VGA or Composite Video source, transforming the monitor into a portable business or entertainment display.
Peter Jackson, Senior Product Development Manager for JOYTECH Europe commented, "JOYTECH's range of portable video game monitors are renowned for high quality TFT screens and great consumer value. The redesigned PlayStation®2 is an impressive achievement and we are delivering a product reflective of the striking design and compact nature of the console. Our monitor allows users to enjoy their entertainment in outstanding digital quality. The 8inch display is our largest screen, yet with the monitor attached to the console, the entire package is small enough to fit inside a briefcase. Both the accessories provided, and the optional Multi AV Adapter broaden the appeal further, allowing the peripheral to double for anything from a high quality PC monitor, to a portable television."
The JOYTECH 8inch Digital LCD Monitor will be available from leading retailers in April 2005.
