Flat Voxel :

Minimalist and surreal horror-puzzle adventure with early-80s text graphics released on Steam: your time is running out.

Released in time for Halloween as part of a collaborative project, Out Of Memories is a minimalist spooky ride through impossible geometry, deadly traps and caustic commentary from the observers of players' desperate attempt to stay alive for just a little longer.

Made exclusively with the Codepage 437 characters available on the original PC from 1981, the game is divided in 6 chapters of weirdness presented in green with a hint of red. Audio consists of the usual beeps and boops mixed with realistic sound effects, providing an unsettling - and somewhat bizarre - atmosphere.

The game aims to be a short but fulfilling experience, taking about 1 hour on a first playthrough. However, here's the catch: the player's remaining life time is numbered (literally), falling victim to any of the traps takes away an extra 5 unities of it, and getting to zero means an instant death. That creates an extra challenge: players must advance through the deadly corridors making sure they have enough time to move ahead.

The game is available for $1.99 on Steam and itch. Current language options include English and Brazilian Portuguese.
