A group of developers have put together snowkit, a collection of libraries and tools for the Haxe programming language. Haxe is an open source development toolkit that can be used to build cross-platform tools and frameworks, and is utilized by thousands of devs around the world, including big names like Nickelodeon and Zynga. Developer Sven Bergstrom has gathered together a bunch of Haxe developers to create snowkit, a bid to create "a common set of goals toward a high quality eco system" for the platform. snowkit is now available as an alpha version, featuring a project based build tool called flow, a low level framework called snow, and a cross-platform rapid development game engine called luxe. The current snowkit collection focuses on deploying to Mac, Windows, Linux, Android, iOS and WebGL. More information can be found at Bergstrom's blog.
